Hi, I'm Alexander Fahlke!

I'm the usual Hadoop guy you expect. A littly nerdy, coffee addict and a homebrew-style console lover living in Uelzen, Germany. You can follow me on Twitter, add me to your circles on Google+ or fork my code on GitHub

I would like to show you on my little blog, my daily Hadoop operations and development problems I come across. If you like it, feel free to subscribe to my blog's RSS feed.

Alexander Fahlke Currently I'm working as an Application Manager for GfK nurago GmbH in Hannover, Germany. Typically I'm trying to hold together the parts of our Hadoop-Clusters. Sometimes a very stressing job. I'm active in some Hadoop mailing lists and like to get new tools up-and-running in our production systems to enhance our daily work. Some good examples are Twitter's HDFS-DU and Foursquare's Oozie-Web. We're using these tools everyday and I'm trying to improve them for our use cases and give the results back to the community.
